Small Business Development Center: A consortium of 4 universities which operate a state office and 15 regional/area centers located throughout the state. The centers offer a variety of services and management training courses tailored to meet the the needs of small & medium-sized businesses. SBDC consultants at each site provide management and technical assistance to those wishing to start or expand an enterprise. Consulting: SBDC consultants offer free and confidential one-on-one consulting to prospective and existing business owners, assisting them to analyze business opportunities, develop business strategies, and create loan packages. These services are by appointment only. Workshops: Seminars and training courses are offered in locations throughout the service area of the Regional office. These are offered for minimal registration fees and are conducted by SBDC staff, University faculty, area professionals, and small business owners.
Small Business Start-up Fact Sheet
SCORE: Small Business Mentoring and Training. A nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow and succeed nationwide. They offer free online and face-to-face business counseling, mentoring and training.
Financial Calculators for Microsoft Excel: This site contains various calculators and tutorials on how to use them.
Free Software:
QuickBooks Simple Start This is the free edition which has some limitations. For example, it only allows up to 20 customers. As certified ProAdvisors we get discounts on other versions, so please contact us before you purchase.
Free Training:
Free training by Small Business Services: Occasionally we offer training on Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. When we have a set date it will be posted here and it will also be in our newsletter.
